We don’t have WEST…

Yesterday I was thanking God for my increased ability to see since I photograph (I really have developed sharper sences), because without this, I never had seen that in this simple weather cock, standing at the formaer boarder between West and East Germany, there lays a little protest…

Someone seems not to accept the WEST, changing completely the known directions in North, South, East and…. North!

Brandenburg under snow…

In this really cold winter we didn’t have much sun here in Berlin… Until some days ago, for the first time in this year some sunrays appeared… I went for a walk in Brandenburg at early morning, and this is a small photo-reportage, which I’ve made…

Trees in winter…

Some days ago I made a little photo-reportage… An homage to winter trees… The lack of light can make one also creative, using it as a creative element of your photos… So look just to some of my pictures…

After Christmas…

The time has gone, the New Year 2010 arrives… Not only a new year, but a whole new decade… And everything only can be better…

I’ve startet a new 365 group-project called OnePictureEveryDay and would be very happy if someone would like to join it… Here how it works…

Autumn has arrived in Berlin…

I was going for a walk, photographing the nature…

It’s getting cold… One day you can go out with a t-shirt, another one you need a jacket…

I have made the 3rd place…

I’m very happy, because I have made today the 3rd place in a Photo-Contest “Urban mood pictures” of a famous bag-designing company tausche in Berlin with this photo above

Visiting peackocks at their island…

We have been visiting peacocks at the Peackock Island in Berlin at the weekend…

In 1793, the then Prussian king Frederick William II acquired this small island in the Havel river, next to Berlin Wannsee for the Hohenzollern dynasty and built a menagerie and a zoo there, in which peacocks were also housed. At the end of the 18th century he commissioned the building of the castle (the white building above) on the Peackock Island for Gräfin Wilhelmine von Lichtenau. Nowadays the island is a popular holiday destination…

August is our month of birthdays… And sice some days also deaths…

Today it’s my daughter’s birthday…

And this is her handmade art…

For trend-setters…

There is a new trend, or maybe an old one in a refreshed version…

When getting children, people move out of the city to live at less crowded places in smaller towns or villages.

But when the children grow older, those people come back again to this big crowded metropolices to make not farm holidays, but urban holidays with their children…

So what am I doing with my child?

I’m following the newest trend: Urban Holidays 2.0

I’m blond again…

Today I was sitting at the barber shop, reading “Men’s Health” (one has to know about the enemy’s newest tactics) and learning from the article how to open any door with a piece of plastic cutted out of a drinking bottle, listening to the small talk from the next chair…

About a friend having swine flu, who was captured by his mother for a week isolated in his room, while she left him his food in front of his door and desinfected any object he was touching (his dishes, the bathroom, the toilet…) and all his family avoiding any contact…

Contemplating, why I was not making stuff like this last month as my husband had the swine flu, and noone has got infected in our family too… Maybe because I’m a scientist…

This world is weird…

Surely because I’m blond again…

And I’ve seen something strange in the sky two minutes ago! Huge red pulsing point, getting white and burning out! Did a far galaxy collapse or was it an UFO???
